(London, United Kingdom) Future Content is looking for 1x Front End / User-Interface Designer to join its busy, creative team based in Hoxton, London.
Either:
- on a part-time basis (2-3 days a week)
Or:
- or on a short term contract
Future Content is a digital communications agency, specialising in education / languages / comms. We build lots of innovative products, from online casual games to handheld learning devices for leading brands and organisations in this sector: disruptive innovations such as Wordia.com - the audio visual dictionary.
We're looking for an experienced (3 years +) Front End / User-Interface Designer with a focus on user-experience / a keen eye for design.
You'll be working in a small team of developers - with responsibility for the front end development of Wordia.com, Wordia Schools and a slate of awesome casual games that we're developing for a large publisher.
This is (currently) a part-time position and would suit a freelancer looking for regular work or a short term contract. There's terrific scope and opportunity for the right person.
Experience required:
• CSS / HTML (HAML / SASS)
• Ruby on Rails (working knowledge is very desirable, as Wordia.com is built in RoR)
• Strong skills in typography, layout and UX design
• Experience of Flash / AS3 would be significant advantage
• Ability to mutli-task and consistently hit deadlines
• Excellent visual and verbal communication skills
• Self motivated, enthusiastic and organised
• An online portfolio (please don't apply if you don't have this)
We are happy to hear from developers based outside of the UK with experience of remote working (and with a portfolio of work!).
