(Telecommute, India) Entrepreneurs seeking lead developer / architect to serve as technical lead of next generation site built on Ruby On Rails
Experience architecting, building and scaling high performance / high availability applications is a must on Ruby on Rails.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Site-wide architecture
- Own all phases of the software development from product definition / design through implementation, debugging, and testing
- Stay abreast of the rapidly changing technologies / approaches in consumer web, particularly in the areas of social media and SEO
- This is contract position to start, with goal of being a long-term, full-time telecommuting position
REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive experience building and scaling high volume, highly available sites
- Current and rock-solid knowledge of Ruby on Rails (please direct us to any activity in open source projects, participation in Rails discussion forums, etc.)
- Hands-on experience building crawlers, as well as content aggregation from various APIs and web services
- Must enjoy rapid iteration
- Independent and self-motivated
